Thursday we thought we would kick the weekend off early and go to the zoo. We got there just as a huge hail storm started but we decided to wait it out for 10 minutes or so and it cleared right up. The nice thing about it was that it was cool and that there were very few people actually left in the zoo and the animals were out so it was a lot of fun.
After spending hours waiting in line at the park for all the awsome (do you hear the sarcasim) blow up slides, we headed over to a local place that was doing pony rides. NO LINES it was great and the kids had a lot of fun.
Micah (my brother-in-law) and Avery at the Parade in Grantsville
So I never EVER thought I would have my kids wear a leash EVER!!! Until I had a boy. He is always moving so on the side of caution I bought him this. He actually likes it because he doesn't have to hold my hand or be in the stroller. Never say never.
I cannot even tell you how many pictures I have of Avery like this probably hundreds. She does NOT like her picture taken so this is the face I get whenever I tell her to smile. I personally think she looks like a very cute version of Popeye.
Alyssa waiting for the parade to start. Please note the lovely boot on her foot. Yes something injured on this child AGAIN. I am suprised someone hasn't turned us in yet. We think she has a brittle bone condition like my little sister, but we can't get in to get tested until 2010. Lame I know.
My friend Nicole let me borrow her 55mm 1.8f lense to try it out. I have been on the fence about wether or not I should buy one because my camera doesn't have the motor in the camera to make it autofocus and so I would have to do it by hand. I LOVE THIS LENS!!! It wasn't hard to figure out at all and I am sure with a little practice you could get it down in no time at all. Thanks Nicole for helping me to make my decision to buy this lens. I can't wait!
