Say Cheez

Okay, so like any parent I had this great idea that I wanted to take my kids to go and do pictures. You know capture the moment so that we can look back fondly and remember these precious times. I had it all planned out in my head that how the day was going to play out. I had scheduled our appointment for 10:00 plenty of time before lunch so no one should be hungry the baby usually takes a nap at 9:00 so I was going to feed him at 8:45 and put him in his car seat at our scheduled leaving departare of 9:15 and he would sleep the whole way there and be every so happy and we would capture that beautiful baby smile in no time. Well this is how it went down. The baby slept in of all days, he never sleeps in I think he secretly new that I had to get up to get everyone ready and choose to tourture me with thoughts of being in bed on a saturday morning when I new I couldn't if this grand idea of mine was going to get off the ground. So the nap time was now going to be pushed back around an hour to 10:00 (yes that was our appointment time). I am thinking that is okay maybe he will still sleep in the car? Yeah not. Anyway we get to the studio and miraculosly everyone is still clean no one is crying (yet) and we are on time. This is going to be great. Even Avery my non picture taking child seems up for the challenge. Well as you all well know like a ball of string quickly starting to unravel this went downhill at a rapid pace. Soon people were crying or there were boogers, drool, spit up, tears or who knows what else gumming up the pictures. By the end of it Avery was crying the baby was passing out from exhaustion and my nerves were frazzled. Poor Alyssa she is just all so patient with it all, sometimes if it wasn't for her sweet little spirit I don't know where I would be. Anyway this is how they get you see they wait until you can't take it any more and then they sit you down to decide what pictures you are going to buy. So you are either so overcome with emotion because they actually turned out you over buy or your kids are still freaking out (usually the later) so you over buy. These are smart people these photographers, you can tell they have thought this out. Bless the girls heart that took them today I warned her at the beginning it was going to be a challenge and I am sure she was quite happy to see us leave. That being said these are the pictures we had taken today. I think they turned out well for what we had to go through to get them. Enjoy!!!!

Ahh the dog days of summer!

Okay...our summer has been super busy.
Sometimes I feel bad for my kids because
usually I get the question of where are we
going today and what are we doing followed by
a groan. A lot of it has been way fun but I
feel like I have dragged them all over the state.
Here are just a few things we have been up
to. Enjoy and strap in this is a long one.

Just after the 4th we had Grandma Waymans
Birthday. Avery and Grandma have the same
birthday just 80 years apart. Avery just turned
5 so you do the math. Here is Grandma with some
of the Great-Grandkids dishing up cake. YUM!
P.S. I think my mom (Libby) was more excited
then the kids check out the clapping action.

Camping with the Wayman Brood! Oh what
fun. It was great to have everyone get together
with good food and just overall good family times.
I must complain a little it was WAY HOT! But still
WAY FUN!

Day 2 of camping we couldn't take much more
of the heat. The babies were fussy and we were
roasting so we headed down to the river for some
fun. Here is Sydnee and Aaron hanging out in the
river.

Ron was taking the kids out and letting them surf
the current. The would hang on tight to Ron and we would
let the water drag them down the current. They loved IT!
Here is Alyssa having a blast!

Kami snapped this pic for me of Aidan he was
trying to take a nap but was so hot he couldn't
sleep. Lucky for me the sound of the water sent
him off to dream land soon after this darling picture
was taken. Good job Kami!

I am just wondering if I am the only one that
cannot get a family picture with everyone looking
at the camera? Seriously I would love to have just
one once in a while. Anyway here is our attempt
at showing our family togetherness!

Drew and Ron heading out to hit the river. I have
to admit I was a little jealous. For those of you
who know me well you know I love to fish and
since I had the baby the fishing has gone down
the tube. Luckily Lynne and I snuck down that
night and caught a few. WE ROCK!

Sydnee, Aidan and Garrett. Kami had them
cracking up I wish there was sound with this photo
because it was so cute. Just to give you and age
breakdown Garett is 7 months and Sydnee and Aidan
are 4 1/2 months. SUPER CUTE!

Here is Ron and Aidan chillin at camp.
I threw this one in for our friends Mike
and Kacee long story not going into it but
I hope you enjoy.

I know I am the mom of this little guy but
seriously he is the cutest baby ever!

We had a little Birthday Celebration for Avery
while we were camping since it was so close to her
Birthday. She has been asking me for months
for pink cowboy boots. G-ma Libby picked her
up a pair and they are so cute. Avery LOVES,
LOVES, LOVES them. Thanks mom!

Okay I think I have decided that I think I am
super mom even though I am not even kindof
close. This is a pic I snapped of the Birthday girl
at her friend party. She wanted a water party
and lucky for me my friend let me borrow this
huge blowup water slide it was a hit but I don't
recommend doing a party for 12 kids by your
self. You think I would have learned by now!

Alyssa getting ready to head down the slide.

This looked like so much fun! I wish I would have
gave it a spin.

Avery also requested a bike for her Birthday
but not just any bike it had to be Bratz. She
loved it.

Avery taking a spin on the new bike. Please note
the pink cowgirl boots!

I hope she made a wish!

Avery doesn't like cake so I made her a ice cream
only cake in the mold of a sand castle bucket it
turned out all right and she thought it was awsome
so there you have it. Just a side note Avery stole
this candle off of G-ma Waymans birthday cake at
her party and made me swear I would use it for her
birthday. We are such good recyclers!

This is kind of a random pic but I love it. I asked
Ron to watch the baby for me the other day so
I could get somethings done around the house.
Well Aidan didn't think that was such a wonderful
idea and was giving Ron a run for his money. Well
next thing I know it is quite and I can hear Ron playing the
guitar. I figured that the baby just went to sleep and came down
to see this. It was so adorable and made my little heart melt so I
thought I would throw it on. SO CUTE!

4th of July and a little more!

Ahhh, the 4th of July! This is truly one of my
favorite holidays. BBQ, fireworks,and parades
all in 100 degree temps. Who could ask for any
more fun?

So I have tried over the years to be one of those
fun mom's that do fun things on holidays. Well
this is my 4th of July attmept at Red and Blue
pancakes to start the day our right...Mmmmmm
So Yummy!

Here is a shot of each of our little ones at the
parade. It was so HOT but we all survived and
came home with a grunt load of treats and candy
that was thrown from the floats. Salt Water Taffy
anyone?

Here are the girls petting a horse that happened
to be passing by on the parade route. Such a
cute little horse!

So in Grantsville after the parade they have a Carnival of sorts at the park! They have tons of fun rides, games, and food along with live bands. This was a family favorite. Check out Alyssa she made it all the way to the top. Not pictured but we came home with 3 new pets gold fish!

So that night after parades, park and BBQ's we
finally made it back to the park for fireworks. Aidan
slept through the entire show. He must have been
dang tired because it was sooo loud. Poor Baby!

This is Holly and Avery back at our house that
night for...Yep you guessed it more fireworks.
Seriously how much more can we pack in to one
day?

Aidan finally woke up for the killer driveway
fireworks show put on by Ron and my bother
in law Matt! They are such Pyro's!

Avery and G-ma K at the fireworks at our house.

Alyssa was baptized on Saturday
morning! I was sure we would never
be up and ready in time after our
crazy day before but here she is looking
as beautiful as ever!

Ron and Alyssa at the baptism. Such
a special day.

Grandpa's and Alyssa at the baptism.

Alyssa and Grandma-K at the luncheon after
the baptism.....Just for a side note my mother
in law was giving me a hard time the other day
because she says there are no pictures of her on
my blog. So here you go! Love ya Barb!!!!

What we have been up to!

This month is only half way over and has been
crazy! We have been so busy. I don't think my
kids have had the chance to say they have been
bored yet this summer. Here are some things
That we have been upto in the last week. Enjoy!

I agreed like any other mother who loves her
child and thinks that she is accomplishing things
that are way bigger then her to let Alyssa have a
Birthday party. She wanted to have a spa day so
here are some of the gals in their bathrobs after
they have recieved the royal spa treatment of
makeovers, mini-mani, mini-pedi, facial scrubs
and the works. 11 girls showed plus I had a baby
and was on my own except for a few of my
young women I invited over to help. Lets
just say that was not one of my brighter ideas
and I was pretty sure I was going to go nuts.
But all in all it was fun and they looked great!

Every year I try to make a fun cake for my kids
of their choosing. Well since I have had baby #3 I
didn't think I would have the time or creativity to
do a masterpiece like in years past. This is the cake
I made for Alyssa's friend party. It is supposed to
look like a present. Cute huh?

Here is Alyssa blowing out the candels on her
actual birthday. She turned 8!

Avery assisting Alyssa in unwrapping her gifts
at our family get together.

Cake #2 I made for the family party
It is supposed to look like a flower
garden. Again not my one of my
masterpieces but I say it turned out
pretty good since I only frosted it with
one hand!

We spent part of fathers day in with Aaron
and Kami and the family at Sydnee's baby
blessing. She looked so beautiful in her blessing
dress. It was a fun way to spend the day!

Here is Griffin chillin in Alyssa's Hannah Montana
sun glasses she got for her B-Day.

My cute hubby Ron holding Sydnee at the
luncheon at Aaron and Kami's house.

This is at the BBQ we had at our house for
Ron's family for Fathers Day. One of my kids
thought it would be cute to make Aidan a hat
out of a paper bowl. Poor baby! He is such a
good sport.

This week we have started swimming lessons
my kids LOVE them and it is a good way to
get out the house and have some fun. Here is
Avery goofin around when she was supposed to
be learning! She told me she thinks that she is
a mermaid.

Here is Alyssa also at swimming lessons. I have
been watching her and she is a natural swimmer.

Okay Avery doesn't have a helmet that fits
so I guess she thought that she would improvise.
This is a kids meal box from McDonalds she is
wearing as a helmet. Helemet and PJ's stunning
combo!

Alyssa also outside in her PJ's riding
bikes. The weather is so nice who
can pass it up.
